Hey y’all!
Last week, my class and I were asked to write for eight minutes straight about what we would do if we had one month left to live. Many people, including myself, shared common thoughts of traveling more, spending time with family and reflecting on our lives as a whole. After the eight minutes were over, my time for reflecting was not. I brought this thought home and continued to think about what I would want my month to look like.
After many days of pondering this, I was left with the overarching idea that, to say it quite frankly, we are not promised tomorrow. Tomorrow is a big MAYBE.
As I am approaching my last semester at Carolina (gosh, that was hard to type), I am left with three months until I cross the stage at graduation. Because of this, I want to use this blog as a challenge for me to live my life in that same fashion. Say yes to more, wear what I want to wear—not caring what others think—and act more confident, because at the end of the day, there’s really no reason not to.
So without further adieu, welcome to MaybeTMRW, the place where I will share my thoughts on current topics, fashion that I am inspired by, trends that are taking place and much more. All of this is under the lens of creating the life you want right now, as if there is only one month left to live.
With all of this being said, I wanted to introduce myself.
I find fulfillment in being a daughter, sister, friend, and creative person with a charismatic personality. I try to make life exciting and take the time to enjoy the little, even mundane things. So with this challenge, I hope to inspire both myself and others to create a life they are excited about. To appreciate and experience things that otherwise would not be experienced!
To start us off, I wanted to share some things that are inspiring me currently!
UNC BASKETBALL! DUH!
Coming off a weekend of UNC vs. Duke winning, I’d say, is pretty unbeatable. As a student, rushing Franklin is not something I take for granted. Coming into college in the heat of COVID-19, my college experience used to look a lot different than it does now. I came in wondering if I would ever be able to rush Franklin St. like I had seen so many others do.
WEARING MORE COLOR
I love to see people bringing color back into their outfits. Showing off your personality and wearing things that make you feel like you is truly what it is all about. I think we have all gotten too used to following what others do and not living authentically for what we want! So here’s to more color in 2024!
MY NEW PLANNER!
As a devoted list-maker, my new planner is exceeding all my expectations. Being a type-A personality, it's remarkable how much happiness a fresh planner brings me. Not to mention, it's really stinking cute.
