In true MaybeTMRW fashion, I wanted to talk about... fashion!
I am sure a lot of you could relate, but I have been feeling very unmotivated by my closet. As a chronic shopper (yes, I admit it), I always have an eye on what's new and exciting in the fashion world. This week, I have been completely enthralled by the mob wife trend. Now, you may be wondering what this is, and I’ll be honest, I was confused too.
The trend drew inspiration from "The Sopranos," a television series from the 1990s that depicted the lives of Carmela and Tony Soprano. Carmela has resurfaced 25 years after the show's airing, taking the internet by storm. The trend highlights bold, rich, and lavish style, contrasting a lot of the trends that have been popular over the last few years.
While I do love and appreciate the “clean girl” look, I find this trend to be inspiring for the sheer fact that it is different and exciting. It is something unique and fun that really brings a lot of personality to the table.
Fashion, to me, means wearing something that YOU feel good in. And trust me, feeling good can very well be leggings and a baggy sweatshirt. Other times, it can be your favorite little black dress and heels.
Fashion is exactly what you make of it. I think Macklemore said it best: “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
Wear the fur coat … or not.
Buy the bright green shoes … or not.
Wear sunglasses inside … or not.
